Dan opened the doors to ATR Sports Medicine in January of 2025 after transitioning from a career supporting elite-level athletes and staff in the collegiate and professional settings. A certified and licensed athletic trainer since 2008, Dan is passionate about injury prevention, rehabilitation, movement optimization, human performance, and patient-centered outcomes that promote long-term success.
Most recently, Dan worked in a leadership role at Texas A&M University as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine from 2022-2024 after previously working as the Head Football Athletic Trainer and Director of Athletic Training from 2018-2022. Before moving to College Station, Dan was the Head Athletic Trainer at Mississippi State University (2014-2018), the Head Football Athletic Trainer at Marshall University (2013-2014), the Head Football Athletic Trainer at Samford University (2011-2013), and an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the football and baseball teams at the University of West Alabama (2010-2011). Dan graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2008 and received his masters degree from the University of Alabama in 2010 after serving for two seasons as a Graduate Assistant under the Crimson Tide’s head coach, Nick Saban.
Originally from Molino, Florida, Dan resides in College Station with his wife, Mallory, and two sons, Jackson & Will. He is an avid outdoorsman, and in his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.
